Premosello-Chiovenda is an Italian commune in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola (VB) in the Piedmont region , on the Simplon railway line Domodossola - Milan .
Geography and data
The historical name Premosello was expanded to Premosello-Chiovenda in 1959 in memory of the lawyer Giuseppe Chiovenda (Premosello, 1872-1937).
The municipality covers an area of 34 km² . The Fractions Colloro and Cuzzago belong to Premosello-Chiovenda. The neighboring municipalities are Anzola d'Ossola , Beura-Cardezza , Cossogno , Mergozzo , Ornavasso , Pieve Vergonte , San Bernardino Verbano , Trontano and Vogogna . Part of the territory is located in the Val Grande National Park .

economy
Premosello-Chiovenda is one of the very few Italian municipalities to have a local, autonomous electricity supply. The electricity company (Pro-Colloro) dates back to 1929 and is run as a foundation.

The Premosello-Chiovenda station is of regional importance (like that of Vogogna ) as a transfer point between the Domodossola - Milan and Domodossola - Omegna - Novara routes.

- Church of Madonna dello Scopello in the Ortel Cuzzago.
- Church of San Martino preserves statues by the sculptor Giovanni Angelo Del Maino (* around 1470 in Milan ; † around 1536 there).
- Oratory of San Gottardo in the Colloro fraction built in the 16th century.
