Calasca-Castiglione is a municipality in the Italian province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola (VB) in the Piedmont region .
geography
The municipality is located in the Valle Anzasca . The municipality covers an area of 57 km² . The Calasca-Castiglione fractions include Barzona, Calasca Dentro, Pianezzo, Antrogna, Duiamen, Molini, Gurva, Boretta, Vigino, Porcareccia, Pecciola, Selvavecchia, Castiglione d'Ossola, Colombetti and Meggianella. The neighboring municipalities are Antrona Schieranco , Bannio Anzino , Pallanzeno , Piedimulera , Pieve Vergonte , Rimella , Seppiana , Valstrona , Vanzone con San Carlo and Viganella .
The official start of the 55-day long-distance hiking trail Grande Traversata delle Alpi is near Molini di Calasca , although an entry from the neighboring Strona valley is more practical.

Some soldiers of the Ravenna Black Brigade shot pastor Don Giuseppe Rossi on February 26, 1945, because they accused him of ringing the bells as a signal to the partisans and of cheating with them.
