At the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Scotland Glasgow in were cycling 19 competitions held, eleven for men and eight for women.

The track races took place in the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome of the Emirates Arena , the mountain bike competitions on the Cathkin Braes Mountain Bike Trails . The start and finish of road races and individual time trials were at Glasgow Green .

There were 139 drivers at the start, of which only twelve made it to the finish. The reason was a heavy rain, which made the streets - partly cobblestone - difficult to pass. Geraint Thomas won the race by a minute and 21 seconds, even though he broke down just a few kilometers from the finish.
