Copa México 1974/75
The Copa MX 1974/75 was the 32nd edition of the football - cup competition since the introduction of professional football in Mexico . The 20 teams that were represented in the top division in the 1974/75 season were eligible to participate . The UNAM Pumas team won the cup for the only time so far .
mode
The tournament was held entirely in group encounters. In the preliminary round there were four groups, each consisting of five teams. The teams within the same group met twice each. The four group winners qualified for the final group, in which all teams also competed against each other in one home and one away game.

The preliminary round matches were played between August 7, 1974 and April 20, 1975.

Final round
The final round began on July 2, 1975 with the match between UDEG and UNAM (0: 1) and ended on July 20, 1975 with the match between UNAM and America (0: 0). Before the last game, UNAM was already the winner of the tournament because the day before the closest rival UDEG had lost 3-0 at Atlético Español. In this respect, UNAM was “without a fight” cup winners.
