DEL records

DEL Logo 2019.svg

The following list contains a selection of records of the German Ice Hockey League ( DEL ) since it was founded in 1994 .

It should be noted that the number of teams in the league has fluctuated between 18 and 14 since it was founded, so the number of games played in one season also varied. Also, the preliminary rounds of the 1996/97 and 1997/98 seasons were played in two phases, so that in the second half of the season only teams from one half of the table competed against each other. In addition, the scoring for wins and overtime losses has fluctuated over the years. All statistics are current prior to the 2012/13 season .

Team records

All in all

Number of games after the main round, i.e. before play-offs or play-downs or relegation round. The different number with the same number of seasons is due to the regulations for the seasons 1996/97 and 1997/98. After a preliminary round with 30 or 28 games, the league was divided into a championship round (6 teams, double round) with 20 games each and a relegation round (single round) with 18 and 16 games.
