This article lists selected records of the National Hockey League on (NHL). The list is basically divided into player and team records, further subdivision is made according to statistical criteria (goals, assists, etc.), according to time unit (per season, per game, etc.) or according to other special features (position, rookies, etc.). All statistics are current at the end of the 2019/20 season .

Explanations

In its now more than 100-year history, the National Hockey League has seen a number of changes, both in terms of the course of the season (number of teams and games) and in terms of the rules of the game. As a result, most of the stated records are only comparable to a certain extent throughout the league's history. In the team records section , an attempt is made to at least partially do justice to this fact by dividing it into the time before and after the great expansion of 1967 . In addition, numerous statistics have only been recorded or listed for a certain year; the following overview provides information on this:
