The Spielmanns- und Fanfarenzug Rückers eV (SFZ Rückers) is a music association from Rückers in East Hesse , Germany . He is a member of the Hessian Music Association (HMV) and the Fulda District and Town Music Association . Until 2020 he worked for the DRK and was therefore registered as the DRK Spielmanns- und Fanfarenzug Rückers eV. But he had to put this name off.
The association shows a repertoire of German, Dutch and French marching and concert pieces, classical works and pieces influenced by modern swing. He is known nationwide for his program of marches, music and shows. The constantly revised music show is performed several times a year at home and abroad. The club plays exclusively on natural tone instruments during its performances .
history
The Spielmanns- und Fanfarenzug was founded in 1967 by the DRK Group in Rückers with the aim of promoting the idea of the Red Cross in the home community and beyond. The association received support from the then still independent municipality of Rückers, other associations and private individuals.
Until the 1980s, the focus of the association's work was on participating in competitions. The greatest success here was the Hessen champion title in 1975 and 3rd place at the German championships in 1976.
In 1982 it was possible for the first time to include its own music show, in which different characters were played, in the program. This was expanded in the following years, so that in 1988 the association received an invitation to an international tattoo in France for the first time. Participation in large music festivals and show events all over Germany followed. In addition, the club has now had over 50 international appearances in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Austria.
In 2018 the DRK Spielmanns- und Fanfarenzug Rückers celebrated its 50th anniversary with two music festivals, including a performance by the Höhner .
In 2020, at the urging of the German Red Cross, he had to delete the addition DRK in the name.
In total, the association has more than 150 members, of which around 60 actively make music.

Festival of Minstrels
So far, the miners' and fanfare group Rückers has presented the minstrel festival , a music show with clubs from all over Germany and Europe, nine times in the Kreissporthalle in Flieden .
Discography
The CD entitled "A sound stands out" contains a cross-section of the varied repertoire of the DRK SFZ Rückers eV . It was recorded in 2002.
Young talent and youth work
The association attaches particular importance to the training of young people and offers young people between the ages of 12 and 17 years of age to participate in the D-seminar weeks of the Hessen State Music Youth. Here you can purchase the youth performance badges D1 to D3 for your instrument.
