Attractions
There is no church in the village of Hausgauen. To the northwest of the village center on the right side of the Thalbach there is a chapel over a thousand years old. The St-Brice chapel was restored in the late 1990s. During the examination of the masonry, one came across herringbone pattern structures ( Opus spicatum ), with the aid of which the construction of the chapel could be dated back to the Ottonian period . It is believed that the chapel is the last remnant of the village of Dennach , which disappeared in the 15th century and which stretched on both sides of the Thalbach between Hausgauen and Schwoben . Hausgauen leads the chapel in a stylized form in the upper part of the coat of arms. Today the chapel is very isolated and can only be reached on foot.
