Attractions
The parish church of St. Aloysius ( Église paroissiale Saint-Aloyse-de-Gonzague ) in the center of the village was built in 1842 and was included in the register of national cultural heritage.
In the southwest of the municipality near the border with the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region stands the Notre-Dame de Bellefontaine chapel in the middle of a field. It was built around 1750 directly at a spring, the water of which, according to tradition, brought recovery after a seriously injured hunter. From then on, the residents of the area tried to use the healing water against various diseases. During the French Revolution, the chapel was closed and religious acts were prohibited. It was sold in 1792 and served various purposes in the decades that followed. In 1857 makeshift repairs were made. In 1914 the chapel was destroyed and French soldiers burned all combustible material. At the end of the First World War, wild animals lived in the remains of the chapel. Extensive renovations took place between 1927 and 1933. After the Second World War, religious activities gradually declined. The chapel is now owned by the municipality of Bréchaumont and is looked after and maintained by the Notre Dame de Bellefontaine association. A complete restoration took place in 2004. Since then there has been a procession every year on Ascension Day.
