Linsdorf is a French commune with 321 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region ( Alsace until 2015 ). It belongs to the canton of Altkirch and the Sundgau community association .
The Alsatian municipality of Linsdorf lies on the edge of a broad valley formed by the Limendenbach and the Ill . The foothills of the Jura reach up to a few kilometers from Linsdorf. Basel is 20 kilometers, Ferrette ( Pfirt ) seven kilometers from Linsdorf. The Césarhof , a hostel, is located in a forest clearing in the northeast of the municipality .
Neighboring communities of Linsdorf are Muespach-le-Haut in the north, Folgensbourg in the northeast, Bettlach in the east, Oltingue in the south and Fislis in the west.
The main branches of industry in this region are small businesses and agriculture . Two large industrial areas were developed south of Linsdorf.
Linsdorf does not have its own church. The church of St. Blasius immediately southwest of Linsdorf is already in the Bettlach area.
