The municipality of Fislis is located on the upper Ill at about 385 meters above sea level, 20 kilometers southeast of Altkirch and 20 kilometers southwest of Basel .

Neighboring communities of Fislis are Muespach in the north, Muespach-le-Haut in the northeast, Linsdorf in the east, Oltingue in the south, Bouxwiller in the west and Werentzhouse in the northwest.

history

From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Fislis belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Altkirch district in the Upper Alsace district .
