Strueth is a French commune with 331 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Vallée de la Largue in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ).

A hilly landscape, forests, fields and half-timbered houses characterize the townscape. Worth mentioning is the Saint-André chapel on the Rue de la Chapelle . It should have originated in the 18th century.

geography

Strueth is located in Sundgau and is one of the border towns of the Alemannic dialect area , 22 kilometers southeast of Belfort and about twelve kilometers southwest of Altkirch . The Largue , which rises near Oberlarg , flows past the east side of the village.
