Frœningen (German Fröningen ) is a French commune with 739 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). She is a member of the Sundgau community association .
geography
The village is located on the Ill and near the Rhine-Rhône Canal between Mulhouse in the north (12 km) and Altkirch in the south (10 km). The D 18 V also connects Frœningen with the neighboring communities of Spechbach-le-Bas and Hochstatt . The neighboring village of Illfurth is on the right-hand side of the Ill .
