Raedersdorf (German Rädersdorf ) is a French commune with 513 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belongs to the arrondissement Altkirch , the canton Altkirch and the municipality association Sundgau .

geography

The municipality of Raedersdorf is on the edge of the Jura , in the extreme south of Alsace . The village center extends on both sides of the upper Ill . The northern and southern third of the community area is covered by forest.

Neighboring communities of Raedersdorf are Bouxwiller in the north, Oltingue in the northeast, Lutter in the southeast, Kiffis in the south and Sondersdorf in the west.

history

From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Raedersdorf belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Altkirch district in the Upper Alsace district .
