Mairie Waldighofen

Waldighofen , often also Waldighoffen, is a French commune with 1540 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). She is a member of the Sundgau community association .

geography

The community of Waldighofen in Sundgau is 14 kilometers southeast of Altkirch . Neighboring communities are Oberdorf in the north, Steinsoultz in the east, Roppentzwiller in the south and Riespach in the west. Waldighofen owned a train station on the Altkirch – Ferrette railway line . From 1915, the Waldighoffen – Saint-Louis-la-Chaussée railway branched off at the station ; it was closed in 1960.
