Mooslargue (German Mooslarg ) is a French commune with 417 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belongs to the Altkirch arrondissement and the Masevaux canton .

geography

The municipality of Mooslargue is located on the Grumbach , a tributary of the Largue in the southwestern Sundgau, and is about 15 kilometers from Altkirch . The Niederlarg district belongs to Mooslargue .

Neighboring communities of Mooslargue are Bisel in the north, Mœrnach in the east, Durlinsdorf in the south, Pfetterhouse in the west and Seppois-le-Haut in the north-west.

history

The community was created on July 1, 1975 from the merger of the communities of Moos and Niederlarg .
