Tagsdorf ( Alsatian Dàgschdorf ) is a French commune with 294 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). She is a member of the Association of Municipalities Sundgau .

geography

The municipality of Tagsdorf is located in the Sundgau , about five kilometers east of Altkirch and 20 kilometers south of Mulhouse .

Neighboring communities of Tagsdorf are Obermorschwiller in the north, Heiwiller in the east, Hausgauen in the southeast, Schwoben in the south and Wittersdorf and Emlingen in the west.

history

From 1871 to 1919 Tagsdorf belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Altkirch district in the Upper Alsace district .
