Dolné Dubové (German Unterdubowan , Hungarian Alsódombó ) is a municipality in the west of Slovakia with 737 inhabitants (December 31, 2019). It belongs to the Okres Trnava , part of the Trnavský kraj .
geography
The village is located in the Trnavská pahorkatina hills by the Dubovský creek . The Dolné Dubové reservoir is located above the village. The center of the village lies at an altitude of 196 m nm and is 16 kilometers away from Trnava .
Neighboring municipalities are Kátlovce in the north, Jaslovské Bohunice in the east and south-east, Špačince in the south, Dolná Krupá in the west and Horné Dubové in the north-west.
history
Dolné Dubové was first mentioned in writing in 1262 as Dombou . In 1828 there were 76 houses and 546 inhabitants, whose main sources of income were agriculture and viticulture.
Until 1918, the place in Pressburg County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.
population
According to the 2011 census, Dolné Dubové had 645 inhabitants, 635 of whom were Slovaks and eight Czechs. Two residents gave no information in this regard. 608 residents supported the Roman Catholic Church and one resident each for the Brethren Church and the Evangelical Church AB. 30 residents were non-denominational and the denomination of five residents was not determined.
