Malženice (German Malschenitz , Hungarian Màniga ) is a municipality in the west of Slovakia , with a population of 1,540 (December 31, 2019). It belongs to the Okres Trnava , a lower part of the Trnavský kraj .
geography
Malženice is located in the Danube Hills , part of the Slovak Danube lowlands on the Blava stream , 10 kilometers from Trnava and 12 kilometers from Hlohovec .
history
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1113 in the Zobor documents . At the beginning of the 13th century he belonged to the Order of St. John , then to various landowners. In 1756 the place became a town for some time.

- Roman Catholic church, originally built in the 13th century in Romanesque style, converted into a three-nave church in the 17th century in Renaissance style
