Gorka Muravjowskaja ( Russian Горка Муравьёвская ) is a village in northwestern Russia . The place belongs to the Arkhangelsk Oblast and has 2602 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010). Gorka Muravjowskaja belongs administratively to the Welski rajon .

Gorka Muravjowskaja is located about three kilometers north of the Welsk district administrative center and 390 kilometers south of the Oblast capital Arkhangelsk . The place is on the left bank of the Waga , a tributary of the Northern Dvina . Gorka Muravjowskaja belongs to the municipality of the same name Muravjowskoje selskoje posselenije ( Муравьёвское сельское поселение ), which comprises nine villages (one of them uninhabited) with a total of 4404 inhabitants (as of 2010) and whose administrative center is one kilometer from the village of Voronovsky, Gorkkavaya.

history

Although the exact age of the village is not known, Gorka Muravyovskaya celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2012.

Economy and Transport

The M8 trunk road runs through Gorka Muravyovskaya . Via Welsk there is a connection to the regional and long-distance network of the Russian Northern Railway .

The place has a middle school and a hospital. In the west of the village there is a penal colony ( Исправительная колония № 14 ).
