In 1453 the estate was owned by the Kecsri / Kekser family, in 1497 it became the property of the Miskey family and in 1519 it belonged to Georg Brandenburg . In 1520 Gall acquired Istvan Otlaka, in 1522 it belonged to the Galilar family and in 1560 the Kiszerjenyi family was the landlord of Otlaka. On a map from 1558 Marki Sandor noted Otlaca as a small village with 1–20 houses. At that time Artandy Coloman was landlord of Ottlaka, then Hagyuias Cristofor and finally Hocskay Stefan. In 1732 King Karl III. Otlaca to the Duke of Modena .

After the Peace of Karlowitz (1699), Arad and the Maroscher Land came under Austrian rule , while the Banat south of the Marosch remained under Turkish rule until the Peace of Passarowitz (1718) . Ottlaka is entered on the Josephine land survey of 1717 . In 1860 Germans from Elek were settled here.
