Hnúšťa (German very rarely Nusten , Hungarian Nyustya ) is a town in Banskobystrický kraj in southern Slovakia .
The place consists of the 5 parts:
- Brádno (incorporated in 1971)
- Hačava (incorporated in 1971)
- Hnúšťa
- Likier
- Polom (incorporated in 1971)
history
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1334, belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary in Gemer and Kleinhont counties until 1918 and then came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia . From 1960 to 1971 it was merged with the neighboring village of Likier to form the municipality of Hnúšťa-Likier . In the year of the merger, the city charter was also awarded.
