Teplý Vrch (until 1948 Slovak "Melecheď"; Hungarian Meleghegy ) is a municipality in the Okres Rimavská Sobota .
location
Teplý Vrch is located in southeastern Slovakia near the Hungarian border, on the edge of the Slovak Ore Mountains , in the valley of the Blh at the Teplý Vrch reservoir . There is also a fairly large campsite by the lake, which has existed since the 1950s. Teplý Vrch can be reached by bus from Rimavská Sobota .
history
The place was mentioned for the first time in 1301 as Melechdyhegy and belonged to the rule of Blh Castle . In the 15th century, large parts of the village belonged to the Derencsényis family , then in the 16th century to the Széchys and in the 17th century to the Muraner rule . The place suffered badly from the Turkish invasions.
The inhabitants were mostly employed in agriculture. Until 1948 the place was called Melecheď , which is the Slavic form of the Hungarian name.
There is a church from 1827 in the village.
