Les Plans ( Occitan : Los Plans ) is a French commune with 252 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Alès and is part of the canton of Alès-2 (until 2015: canton of Alès-Sud-Est ). The inhabitants are called Esplanins .
geography
Les Plans is about ten kilometers east-northeast of Alès in the Cevennes . Les Plans is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Servas in the north and west, Navacelles in the north-east, Brouzet-lès-Alès in the east, Saint-Just-et-Vacquières in the south and south-east and Mons in the south and south-west.
