Lorp-Sentaraille ( Gascognisch : Lòrp e Senta Aralha ) a French commune with 1,467 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ariège department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Girons and the canton of Portes du Couserans (until 2015: canton of Saint-Lizier ). The inhabitants are called Lorparaillais .
geography
Lorp-Sentaraille is located about 40 kilometers west-northwest of Foix on the Salat River , which borders the municipality in the east. Lorp-Sentaraille is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Taurignan-Vieux in the north, Gajan in the east and northeast, Saint-Lizier in the south and east and Caumont in the west.
