NGC 812 is an Sbc-type spiral galaxy located in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky , which is an estimated 237 million light years from the Milky Way . The galaxy is the brightest member of the NGC 812 group ( LGG 46 ).
The object was discovered on December 11, 1876 by Édouard Jean-Marie Stephan .
