NGC 805 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Triangle in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 208 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 65,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 784 and NGC 807 , among others .
The object was discovered on September 26, 1864 by the German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
