NGC 807 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E3 in the constellation Triangle in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 218 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 115,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 784 , NGC 805 , NGC 816 , NGC 819 , among others .
The object was discovered on September 11, 1784 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
