Pflugern is a village in the municipality of Liebenfels in the Sankt Veit an der Glan district in Carinthia . The village has 28 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). It lies entirely in the area of ​​the Sörg cadastral community .

location

The village is located in the southwest of the Sankt Veit an der Glan district, in the Wimitzer Mountains , on a slope that slopes down to the southwest below the Pflugernhöhe , north of the village of Sörg . The houses belonging to the scattered settlement can be reached partly from the road leading from Sörg to Hart , partly from the road leading from Sörg to the Schneebauerberg.

history

In 1459 Phluegarnn (= among the plowers ; compare also the name of the neighboring town of Pflausach to the south ) is mentioned in a document.

Located in the tax municipality of Sörg, the place was part of the tax district of Gradenegg in the first half of the 19th century . When the local congregations were formed in the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, the place first became part of the municipality of Glantschach and in 1875 the municipality of Sörg . Since the merger of the municipalities of Sörg and Liebenfels in 1973, Pflugern has belonged to the municipality of Liebenfels.
