Sainte-Hélène is located about 28 kilometers northwest of Bordeaux in the Médoc landscape . Sainte-Hélène is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brach in the north and north-west, Listrac-Médoc in the north, Moulis-en-Médoc and Castelnau-de-Médoc in the north-east, Salaunes in the east and south-east, Le Temple in the south and south-west, Saumos in the west and southwest and Lacanau to the west.

The Via Turonensis , a variant of the Camino de Santiago , runs through the municipality .
