Signa is a municipality in the metropolitan city of Florence with 19,018 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian region of Tuscany .
geography
Signa is located about 15 km west of Florence at the confluence of the Bisenzio river into the Arno . The Ombrone Pistoiese river forms the western border of the municipality with Carmignano .
Districts ( frazioni ) are Lecore, San Mauro a Signa, Sant'Angelo a Lecore and San Piero a Ponti.
The neighboring municipalities are Campi Bisenzio , Carmignano ( PO ), Lastra a Signa , Poggio a Caiano (PO) and Scandicci .
