The Silnice I / 44 ( Czech for: "1st class road 44") is a Czech state road (1st class road).
course
The road branches off in Mohelnice (Müglitz) from Silnice I / 35 ( European route 442 ) to the north, runs past Zábřeh (Hohenstadt an der March) and meets Silnice I / 11 in Bludov (Blauda) , with which it takes the the following ten kilometers through the town of Šumperk (Mährisch Schönberg) among others . In Rapotín (riding village) the streets divide again; the Silnice I / 44 leads over the pass Červenohorské sedlo in the Jeseníky Mountains (Hrubý Jeseník) to Jeseník (Freiwaldau), where in the district Bukovice the Silnice I / 60 branches off to the northwest, and on to Mikulovice u Jeseníku (Niklasdorf) on the border with Poland . On the Polish side, Droga krajowa 40 continues the road via Głuchołazy (goat neck) and Prudnik (new town in Upper Silesia).

history
From 1940 to 1945, the middle and northern sections of the street formed part of Reichsstraße 147 .
