Gross-Titlis-Schanze in December 2017

The Ski Jumping Continental Cup in Engelberg has been part of the Ski Jumping Continental Cup since the 1999/2000 season . It is organized by the International Ski Association (FIS) and Engelberg-Titlis Veranstaltungs GmbH. The competitions take place on the HS 137 Gross-Titlis-Schanze ; the natural hill is a five-minute walk from the village center at the foot of the Titlis . A few days before Christmas the World Cup jumping takes place at the same place .

history

Every country that hosts World Cups also has to organize a number of competitions as part of the FIS Continental Cup. Engelberg and St. Moritz shared a competition from the 1999/00 to 2002/03 season . Since no more Continental Cups were held in St. Moritz after 2005/06, there were already two competitions in Engelberg from 2003/04.

In 2000, the planned Continental Cup jumping competition had to be canceled due to lack of snow and the competition on December 28, 2003 due to squalls.
