The 2nd league in 1952 was the fourth season of the second highest Polish football division of men. The game was played from March to November 1952.

In addition to the 32 clubs that had qualified for this season, eight selected clubs were added. The 40 teams were divided into four groups of ten clubs each. Each team played twice against each other on a total of 18 match days, divided into a round trip. The four group winners then identified two promoted teams for the first division in the promotion round .

The following second division season was single track again with 14 teams. Therefore, a total of 26 clubs were transferred to the newly founded 3rd division at the end of the season .
