The 1995/96 basketball Bundesliga season was the 30th season of the top German division in men's basketball . The regular season began on September 15, 1995 and ended on March 10, 1996.

Season Notes

• TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen became champions of the 1995/96 season .
• Cup winner of the 1995/96 season was SSV ratiopharm Ulm 1846 .
• The 1995 BBL All-Star Game took place in the Europahalle in Karlsruhe . The winner was the north with 109: 93. MVP was Teoman Alibegović ( Alba Berlin ).
• From this season on, the teams no longer played in two groups (north and south), but together in one league. The league was increased by two teams to 14 teams. In addition to the athletically qualified teams from last season, SG FT / MTV Braunschweig is returning to the league as well as TuS Herten , TV Rhöndorf and TG Landshut as newcomers . The athletically qualified TuS Lichterfelde did not participate in the first division. The SG Bramsche / Osnabrück also stopped playing in the first division.
