Blues Hall of Fame

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Blues Hall of Fame is the gallery of honor for the Blues Foundation , a Memphis , Tennessee nonprofit that is committed to promoting the blues .

Since 1980, pioneers of the blues have been recognized for their achievements by being inducted into the “Hall of Fame”. The awards were presented in Memphis , Los Angeles, and Washington, DC . There is no submission or nomination process. A group of selected blues experts meets in autumn and, after a long discussion, casts votes in the five categories.
