action
The series is about the Belcher family, who own and run a hamburger restaurant.
characters
Bob Belcher
Bob is the husband of Linda and the father of Tina, Gene and Louise. He is the main character in the series and a passionate owner of a hamburger restaurant. Although he always tries to do his best, most of the time he fails. He is very enthusiastic and manages to get into tasks wonderfully. On the one hand, he wants to expand in order to make his business on par with the competition; on the other hand, he often makes unreasonable decisions based on this motivation and thus loses large sums of money in the short term. Most of the time, this also happens when you challenge him because he can't let it sit down. Then Bob is unpredictable and irascible and does his best to win this challenge, unfortunately also by unreasonable means. So he makes quite a few enemies. One of them is the owner of the pizzeria across the street, Jimmy Pesto, whose real name is Jimmy Poplopovich. Bob is generally very patient and level-headed with his family. He only freaks out when family members irritate him or provoke him to the extreme. Even if he loves his family dearly, he has to contend with doubts. He goes to great lengths to raise his children well, to keep his family together and to understand Linda, which is clearly difficult for him at times. As a result, he appears a little alone in the far hall. If he does not manage to get the other family members excited about his plans, which mostly revolve around the restaurant, Bob will doubt himself. In contrast, the rest of the family sometimes feels left behind by the burgers. Nevertheless, he is ultimately portrayed as a hero within the family because he is determined in his daily work. Bob is often prone to self-talk. So he has a dialogue with a turkey, plants in a community garden, or a turkey humidifier. He only does this when the rest of the family is absent and he apparently feels alone.
Linda Belcher
Linda is Bob's wife and the mother of Tina, Gene and Louise. She is very musical and loves to dance. She is quite good-natured towards her children. They take advantage of this to dance on her nose, which in turn leads to discrepancies with Bob, who wants a little more consistency. Linda seems naive and a little unworldly, but takes over the helm when Bob acts unreasonably on his part. She is also less plagued by existential worries than her husband. However, problems often arise for her and her family when Linda makes careless comments and acts. Bob then has to iron this out again. Nevertheless, she knows about her husband's lifelong dream and manages to rebuild it again and again through her confidence and carelessness. She sometimes comes across as self-centered and indifferent to her surroundings, which manifests itself in the fact that she is covering up her husband's needs or simply not listening to him. She shows the same behavior towards the children, whom she then simply leaves to their own devices. However, Linda is also very perfectionist and tries to get everything right. For this reason, she sometimes goes to great lengths to influence her children and raise them properly. She loves to have some peace and quiet on her evenings off, read romance novels or practice yoga . She regularly argues with Bob. With these differences of opinion, their behavior is unpredictable. She either insists on her opinion until the end and manages to get Bob to do things he really didn't want to do, or she gives in relatively quickly and is anything but resentful. She also makes a few enemies with her quirky manner. These are mostly their rivals, the ambitious overmothers from their children's school. To Bob's chagrin, Linda has a close relationship with her parents and sister and always tries to please them. She also loves Tom Selleck a little .
Tina Ruth Belcher
Tina is the oldest of the three children. She is in puberty . Tina works part-time in the restaurant. She is characterized by her slow, monotonous speech and her apparent indifference , which she also shows towards her father's restaurant. This behavior quickly turns into nervous enthusiasm when she meets attractive guys or temporarily devotes herself to unusual hobbies such as capoeira . She also loves horses. Her movements aren't very coordinated, so she isn't particularly athletic either. She tends to be solitary. However, sometimes it seems like she would like to be more popular. Her siblings speculate whether she might have autistic traits. She sometimes likes to change her name and her role to get out of herself, for example she calls herself Dina in one episode and takes her advice to make decisions. Tina has no close contact with her two siblings, Gene and Louise, and often stays out of their activities or is not involved. This can be explained on the one hand by her age, on the other hand by her role as a loner and her interests, which are very different from those of her siblings, as she likes to read and is intensively involved with her unusual hobbies. Tina is obviously in love with Jimmy Junior, the son of the pizzeria owner Jimmy Pesto Senior, who is an enemy of Bob.
Gene Belcher
Gene is the only son in the family and is very enthusiastic about music. He likes to play sound effects via keyboard or megaphone . Gene promotes the restaurant, for which he usually wears a hamburger costume. With his actions, in which his sister Louise is often involved as an accomplice or ringleader, he often causes his parents some problems. Gene wants to please his dad on the one hand and help him, but he maneuvers himself - partly consciously, partly unintentionally - into hair-raising situations over and over again. He is not particularly hardworking at school and is therefore often criticized by teachers. He is also not very fond of physical work, but at the same time mostly appears excited and energetic. However, like his father, he becomes really ambitious when he feels challenged. Then he will do everything possible to outdo his counterpart. Gene seems naive and friendly. He doesn't really mean it with anyone. He's rather plump, but doesn't seem to care much about his figure or his reputation, instead he hardly knows any limits of shame and thus provokes those around him.
Louise Belcher
Louise is the youngest daughter in the family. She always wears a pink rabbit-eared hat and seems to hate social interactions . She is very intelligent for her age. Louise has a weakness for morbid humor and not really age-appropriate bloodthirstiness in the news, movies, or video games. Her elaborately concocted lies, which she likes to tell around, often take on dreadful, morbid dimensions and have negative consequences or have a detrimental effect on the family's reputation (e.g. human flesh in the burgers and a sales ban as a result). Louise tells the lies in order to be the center of attention. Louise also attracts attention with her loud voice and her habit of having the last word. She also has the ability to come up with hair-raising pranks. Louise is often authoritarian and manipulative and does not tolerate contradictions. She gets in a very bad mood if you surprise her negatively. Since Louise is the baby of the family, her quirks are usually tolerated. On the other hand, she is also very family-oriented and lovable and always has a partly cute, partly diabolical grin on her face.
