Bogusławki ( German  Groß Bogslack ) is a no longer inhabited local office in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship within the Gmina Barciany (rural community Barten ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

The no longer built and inhabited settlement ( Osada in Polish ) is located on the west bank of the Guber River in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 19 kilometers northwest of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).

history

The small to 1414 Buxlauken and 1785 United Bock paint called place was before 1945 a Vorwerk of Dönhofstädt ( Polish Drogosze ) in the East Prussian county Rastenburg . In 1820 54 inhabitants were registered here, in 1885 there were already 60 and in 1905 already 62.

As a result of the war, Groß Bogslack came to Poland in 1945 together with southern East Prussia and received the Polish form of the name "Bogusławki". Today there is only one abandoned site to be seen here - with no buildings and no residents. It is part of the rural community Barciany (Barten) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then it has belonged to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

church

Until 1945 Groß Bogslack was parish in the Evangelical Church of Paaris in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of Korschen in what was then the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Bogusławki belongs to the Catholic parish Parys in what is now the Archdiocese of Warmia , and also to the Protestant parish of Barciany , a branch of the St. John's Church in Kętrzyn in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

traffic

The Bogusławkis branch can be reached from the neighboring village of Wiklewo (Groß Winkeldorf) via a land route. There is no rail connection.
