Bourgneuf is a French commune with 1,275 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Rochelle , the canton of La Jarrie and is a member of the commune association La Rochelle Agglomération . The inhabitants are called Novibourgeois .
geography
Bourgneuf is located about ten kilometers east-northeast of La Rochelle in the historic Aunis landscape . Bourgneuf is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sainte-Soulle in the north, Montroy in the south and east, Périgny in the south-east and Dompierre-sur-Mer in the west and north-west.
