Brunémont is a French municipality with 711 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Douai and the Canton of Aniche (until 2015: Canton Arleux ). The inhabitants are called Brunémontois .

geography

Brunémont is about eleven kilometers south-southeast of Douai and is bordered in the south by the Sensée and one of its lakes. Brunémont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bugnicourt in the north and northeast, Aubigny-au-Bac in the east and southeast, Oisy-le-Verger in the south and southwest, and Arleux in the west.
