Erre is a French commune with 1,592 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Douai and the Canton of Sin-le-Noble (until 2015: Canton Marchiennes ). The inhabitants are called Errois .

geography

Erre is about 16 kilometers east of Douai and about 14 kilometers west of Valenciennes . Erre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Wandignies-Hamage in the north, Hornaing in the east, Escaudin in the south and south-east, Abscon in the south and south-west and Fenain in the west.
