Bouvignies is a French commune with 1,535 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Douai and the canton of Orchies (until 2015: canton of Marchiennes ).

Bouvignies is about ten kilometers northeast of Douai . Bouvignies is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Orchies in the north, Beuvry-la-Forêt in the northeast, Marchiennes in the south and east, Flines-lez-Raches in the west and southwest and Coutiches in the west and northwest.
