The Burgstall Gunzendorf is an abandoned medieval castle approx. 700 meters west of the Gunzendorf district of the city of Auerbach in the Upper Palatinate in the Amberg-Sulzbach district . It is a ground monument with the file number D-3-6235-0003 and entered in the Bavarian monument list as a medieval castle stable .
location
The small Burgstall, now located in a small wooded area, is still recognizable as a small elevation on a group of rocks a few meters west of the multi-branching meander-like Goldbrunnenbach, which runs east past the Burgstall in a north-south direction. The road from Gunzendorf to the Wallner quarry runs northeast of it today.
Construction
The building seems to be completely gone. It is entered in the Pfarreranger corridor on the Bavarian cadastre , next to it is the parcel with the name am Burgstall . Due to its location, the Burgstall can be addressed as a spur castle .
