Caleb Earle

Caleb Earle (born February 27, 1771 in Swansea , Bristol County , Province of Massachusetts Bay , †  July 13, 1851 ) was an American politician . Between 1821 and 1824 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Rhode Island .

Career

Nothing is known about Caleb Earle's youth and schooling. Professionally he worked in the wood industry; since 1796 he was married to Amey Arnold. Politically, he appeared late. He was a supporter of President John Quincy Adams of the Democratic Republican Party , for whom he voted as an elector in the presidential election in 1824 .

Between 1821 and 1824 Earle was Lieutenant Governor of Rhode Island on the side of William C. Gibbs . He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . He died on July 13, 1851. He found his final resting place in Swan Point Cemetery in Providence .
