Raymond E. Jordan

Raymond E. Jordan (born April 2, 1895 in Pawtucket , Rhode Island , † August 1967 ibid) was an American politician . Between 1937 and 1939 he was Lieutenant Governor of the State of Rhode Island.

The sources on Raymond Jordan are very poor. What is certain is that he lived at least temporarily in Pawtucket and Providence and belonged to the Democratic Party . In 1936 he was elected lieutenant governor of Rhode Island alongside Robert E. Quinn . He held this office between 1937 and 1939. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . In 1938 it was not confirmed. In July 1940, he took part as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago , on which President Franklin D. Roosevelt was nominated for the third time as a presidential candidate. Then the trail of Raymond Jordan is lost again.
