Ralph Watrous
Ralph Collingwood Watrous (born July 19, 1866 - † November 1, 1939 ) was an American politician . Between 1908 and 1909 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Rhode Island .
Career
Nothing is known about the youth and school education of Ralph Watrous. There is also no information in the sources about his career outside of politics. He lived at least temporarily in Warwick and was a member of the Republican Party . In 1907 he was elected Lieutenant Governor of Rhode Island by a very narrow margin at the side of James H. Higgins . He held this office between 1908 and 1909. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . After his time as Lieutenant Governor, he was no longer politically active. He died on November 1, 1939. Watrous was married to Susan A. Aldrich (1870-1947) since 1892.
