División de Honor (chess) 2019
The División de Honor 2019 was the 25th season of the División de Honor and at the same time the 63rd Spanish team championship in chess . It was held with eight teams. The team of Magic Extremadura won all competitions and was the champions successor to the defending champion Sestao Bizkaialde, who had withdrawn his team. Exceptionally, three teams rose from the Primera División: Gros Xake Taldea, CA Collado Villalba and CA GranDama Santa Lucia. While Gros Xake Taldea achieved relegation, Villalba and Santa Lucia had to relegate again.
For the team squads of the participating clubs, see Team Squad of the División de Honor (Chess) 2019 .
mode
The eight participating teams played a simple round-robin tournament . The game was played on six boards, with at least one woman having to be used. The number of team points (two points for a win, one point for a draw, no point for a defeat) and then the number of board points (one point for a win, half a point for a draw, no point) decided the placement for defeat). The last two were relegated to the Primera División.
Dates and venue
The tournament was played in Melilla from September 30th to October 6th .
