The Dodge Kahuna is a concept vehicle from the US car manufacturer Dodge , which was presented together with the Dodge Avenger Concept at the Detroit Auto Show in 2003 .
The car was specially designed for sports surfers and therefore has six seats in three rows of seats that can be used variably. Two of the rows of seats can be converted into fully-fledged tables in just a few simple steps. In addition, the car has a “Stow 'N Go” loading area that extends below the seats.
The exterior of the car is particularly striking because of its wooden planks made of bird's eye maple , the roof consists of a silver-gray tarpaulin that can be folded back in an accordion-like manner from the B-pillar to the rear bumper . All side windows are frameless and can be completely lowered into the doors. The vehicle also has 22-inch wheels that are significantly larger than other vehicles in this class.
A 2.4 liter turbo engine with 160 kW (218 hp) works under the hood of the front-wheel driven Kahuna, which puts its power on the road with the help of a 4-speed automatic transmission.
