The Dodge New Value (or also: Dodge DU series ) was a car of the Dodge brand in Detroit , which was presented as a successor to the Standard / Special / Deluxe models in January 1935.

The car had - like its predecessors Dodge Standard , Dodge Special and Dodge Deluxe - a side-controlled six-cylinder in-line engine with 3569 cm³, which made 87 bhp (64 kW) at 3600 / min. This vehicle also had a single-disc dry clutch, three-speed gearbox and rear-wheel drive. A semi-automatic system (clutch automatically actuated by vacuum) was available on request.

The New Value was available with two wheelbases: Most bodies were on the chassis with a 2946 mm wheelbase; the 7-seat sedan and the 5-seat "Caravan" sedan had a wheelbase of 3251 mm. The bodies had been redesigned: a narrow, rearward-sloping radiator grille and a more sloping windscreen made the vehicles, which were 92.5 mm lower, appear streamlined. A 2- or 4-door sedan, each in a "normal version" (without trunk) and in a "touring version" (with hatchback and trunk attached to the rear) were offered as new all-steel bodies. There were also two different 2-door coupés (Business and R / S), and a 2-door convertible on the short chassis. The R / S Coupe and Cabriolet were available with either 2 or 4 seats. The long chassis was also delivered without superstructures, but with all mechanical components, so that customers could have their own superstructures made by coachbuilders.

In terms of technical innovations, the cars offered an automatic starter (semi-automatic choke ), power steering and hinged windshields.

As early as November 1935, the New Value was replaced by the Beauty Winner model.
