Geographical location

Durchhausen is located on the Baar plateau in the Schönbachtal about five kilometers southeast of Trossingen, nestled between the witness mountains of the Baaralb, the 976  m high Lupfen and only a few kilometers away the 912 m high Kegelberg Hohenkarpfen .

history

Durchhausen was first mentioned in a document in 1295, but finds indicate that it was already settled in Roman times. At first the place was called Husen or Husen prope Lupfen, in the 16th century the name slowly changed to Durchhausen.
