Durchhausen is a municipality in the Tuttlingen district in Baden-Württemberg . Apart from the village of the same name, no other villages belong to the municipality of Durchhausen.

Geographical location

Durchhausen is located on the Baar plateau in the Schönbachtal about five kilometers southeast of Trossingen, nestled between the witness mountains of the Baaralb, the 976  m high Lupfen and only a few kilometers away the 912 m high Kegelberg Hohenkarpfen .

history

Durchhausen was first mentioned in a document in 1295, but finds indicate that it was already settled in Roman times. At first the place was called Husen or Husen prope Lupfen, in the 16th century the name slowly changed to Durchhausen.

In 1399 the Counts Friedrich, Konrad and Eberhard von Nellenburg sold Durchhausen to the wealthy Rottweiler citizen Endinger. In the 15th century it came into the possession of Messrs Bletz von Rothenstein. They sold the village to Jakob Guth von Sulz in 1534 . His descendants finally sold Durchhausen in 1602 to the dominion of Konzenberg of the diocese of Constance . After the Napoleonic Wars and the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss , Durchhausen and the entire territory of the Constance Monastery came to Baden in 1803 and to the Kingdom of Württemberg in 1806 with the rest of Konzenberg .
